Youth
First United Methodist Church is excited to offer our Wednesday night youth ministries for children 4-year-olds to high school seniors! We believe that children are a vital part of church life, and we want them to be actively involved in worship, reading the Bible, prayer, serving others, giving and sharing God’s heart for the poor and learning about Jesus! We encourage the children to invite a friend or two to join their group—membership in the church is never required and everyone is welcome!
ANOW Thru NOVEMBER- GriefShare 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death or how long it has been, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future. Please note, you do not have to be a member of FUMC to attend. So if you have a friend, coworker or neighbor who needs this help, please share this information with them. Monday SEPTEMBER 14 - United Womenn of Faith Salad Luncheon, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Skip the brown bag or drive thru food! Join the United Women of Faith at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, Sept. 14, for their annual Salad Luncheon. Enjoy a variety of salads of all types—veggies, fruits, pasta and more—and, of course, desserts too! (If your lunch hour is short, we will provide a take-out box for you!) Heather Delap will also give a short presentation on flowers & plants!
