Sunday AUGUST 13 - Back-to-School blessings Sunday, 9:45 a.m.
This will be a very special worship service where we will bless and pray for all our school-age children and all of our teachers as they are heading back to another school year. Pastor Velma will be back from vacation; communion will be served; Susan Wallace will be playing the organ that day and the Nebraska Pride Chorus (formerly the Sweet Adelines) will be singing. It will be a special day for our children and teachers. Please plan to attend.
Tuesday AUGUST 22 - GriefShare Starting, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
No matter what the cause of your loved one’s death or how long it has been, this is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling. You will learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief and that you do not need to live in bondage to certain emotions. You will learn valuable information about facing your new normal in life and renewing your hope for the future. Please note, you do not have to be a member of FUMC to attend. So if you have a friend, coworker or neighbor who needs this help, please share this information with them. Reunions are times when we meet those we see frequently and those we have not seen in a while. We are excited to announce our own Church Family Reunion, Aug. 27 after worship.Please plan on joining us for this family reunion and invite someone you have not seen in church for a long while.
